Changes of distribution of veterinary products

February 2009 Dear distributors,

We would like to give you information about changes in the distribution of veterinary medical products.

Disinfectants and disinfection veterinary products are recently classified as restricted medicine. This is related to our products Avejodin (spray, mechanical dispenser), Arpalit Neo (spray, mechanical dispenser) and Kubatol Pix Spray.

Our company AVEFLOR, a.s. is obliged under the pharmaceuticals law No. 378/2008 Coll. to distribute pharmaceuticals only in accordance with the paragraph 77, see below:

  1. to persons who are distributors
  2. to persons who are authorized to supply medicinal products or sell restricted medicines
  3. to veterinarians eligible to practise professional veterinary activity
  4. to breeders, if it is a disinfectant or disinfestation products defined by Veterinary Institute.

Other duties and rights of distributors are stated in Paragraph 77 of given law (see attached file). For example distributor must apply for permission for distribution of drugs at ÚSKVBL, fulfil legal requirements and follow the right distribution practise. See more in Pharmaceutical law.

Please look and study the law and guidelines for distribution authorization of pharmaceuticals (see attached file Distribution authorization procedure).

Distributor of the restricted medicines is required according to Paragraph 23 to:

  1. have a certificate of professional competence (i.e. attend special course for sellers of pharmaceuticals in accordance with Decree No. 106/2008 – see attached file).
  2. observe the rules for the right practise of restricted medicines sellers (in accordance with Decree 106/2008 Coll., see attached file) and no later than 15 days announce to ÚSKVBL setting up business, your business address as specified by the 2008-DIS-04.
  3. buy restricted medicine only from the distributor or manufacturer

In other words:

If you choose to continue to sell stated products you must complete specialized course within the range of 35 hours for about 8000 CZK on IPVZ (more on www.ipvz.cz), comply with the rules of right practise and notify to USKVBL your start-up (more in file 2008-DIS-04, which is available in section download).
